Sept 13th Kick Off Rally for 30th Hunger Walk

Kick Off for 30th Red Bank Area Hunger Walk
The Rally for our 30th Anniversary Red Bank CROP Hunger Walk took place this past Monday at the First Baptist Church in  Red Bank with a welcome from Rev. Tyrone Choate to the more than 80 attendees, most of whom were soaked by a rare thunderstorm as they heard about the one billion in our world who are chronically hungry and who have to walk in all kinds of weather for their basic needs. CROP Teen Leaders from area high schools presented a short skit about the brains, heart & courage it takes to stand up and help hungry neighbors in our local towns and around the world.

Yard signs, sponsor forms, t-shirts and wristbands were available along with informational posters, flyers, stickers and other helpful materials for educational and fundraising tips. Resources can be printed from our Materials Page at www.redbankcropwalk.com  or you may also contact us by email at redbankcropwalk@gmail.com to make arrangements to pick up materials. Volunteers are needed on the day of the walk Sunday Oct. 17th at Red Bank Regional High School. Check out our website for fun ways to participate while supporting a serious cause. Banner Poster Contest, best red shoes, best decorated stroller. All ages welcome. Buy one of our new 30th Anniversary t-shirts or wear one to show your church, family or school spirit. It's a family day to support families in need.

With our 30th Walk we hope to go over a 2 million dollar mark for our 30 years of walking in the Red Bank Area. Our goal this year is to raise $130,000 to assist local and global partners and to collect over 8,000 pounds of food to distribute to area pantries.

Sunday Oct. 17th. Walk with the Crowd That Walks to End Hunger One Step At A Time!
