Volunteers Contribute to CROP Hunger Walk Success

This post begins with an enormous thank you to all our many volunteers: our coordinating committee members, our teen leadership committee, and most definitely all our church and school recruiters. They all volunteer so much of their time in planning, before the walk, the day of the walk, after the walk…a little all year round!

On the day of the walk our coordinating committee and teen leadership committee is joined by a host of volunteers from all over our Monmouth County communities. They come to help set up, to handle the registration process, collect and sort the food collection as well as handling the banner and poster contest, music, educational displays, manning the water stops, handing out ice cream and apples. Most don’t leave until everything is cleaned up making for a very long day! We can’t forget the people who donate their time to go through all the envelopes to count the money.  Everyone’s efforts are appreciated and clearly made for a wonderful day! If you look at our photo album you'll see the smiling faces of our many volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the walk a joyous day.
