Thank You Dinner for 2010 Corporate Sponsors

Corporate sponsors, committee chairs and teen leaders came together for a "thank you" dinner February 24th with our NJ/NY Metro Region CWS Directors, Dr. Marie Varley and Kae Kusterbeck. The dinner was hosted by George and Janie Schildge. A running slide show & an original CROP Bingo game designed by social media chair, Janis Iwanyk, led to conversations about our 30th Anniversary Walk. funds raised (over $120,000) and Food Collection (11,000 lbs.) As attendees played bingo guests contributed with information about participating groups and schools, new activites like the LUG A JUG Brigade, our teen clothesline project which highlighted information about our 17 local partners. We shared news about our new walk wristbands and student designed walk t-shirt. It was very popular. (a few remain for purchase).

We shared a table with information on Church World Service activities and our new website, blog, and facebook which has put us on the map! Our site has been viewed by computer users in over a dozen countries and has been looked at by over 3,000 unique visitors in 2010. Dan Schildge, President/CEO of CRP Industries shared that helping others has long been a family tradition which he continues with his wife, Jen and their children. CROP Walks are families helping families in need.
