Thank you to everyone that helped to make the Kick Off Rally another successful start towards reaching our goals for this year's 36th hunger walk. If you weren't able to attend the rally, please make arrangements to pick up your materials by calling our materials coordinator.

We invited recruiters representing, faith groups, private & public schools, as well as team captains from community groups to attend our Kick Off Rally. Online fundraising team captains were also encouraged to attend to hear about new online fundraising incentives.

Executive Pastor Steve Brown from First Baptist Church in Red Bank gave a heartfelt welcome and talked about our reasons for doing good in the world. Janie Schildge, walk coordinator, also gave opening remarks and introduced the presentation by our teen leaders. 

Our teens represent 15 different Monmouth County High Schools. Their 2016 presentation highlighted the steps our local partner programs take to help reduce poverty and hunger in our local communities.

Longtime coordinators of our food collection, Eileen Betz and Sheila Alfano were honored and new food collection coordinators Vicky Smith and Joe Lotito were introduced as new food collection coordinators. More information is available on the Food Collection Page of our website.
