Our walk is nearly 5 miles long, level and has 5 water stops along the way. There is a van available for tired walkers. Shorter walk to the first stop and back if needed.


DIRECTIONS - Red Bank Regional High School
                      101 Ridge Road Little Silver, NJ
  1. GSP to exit 109 East on Rt. 520 (Newman Springs Rd.) to dead end at Route 35
  2. Turn left, cross railroad tracks and keep to the right onto Broad St.
  3. Make a right at Harding Rd. continue aprox. 1 mile
  4. Harding Rd. turns into Ridge Rd. Red Bank Regional HS is on the right.
DAY BEFORE WALK
  * Still time to get additional sponsors.
  * Complete sponsor forms ahead of time.
  * Under age 18 - Have parent or guardian sign permission to walk.
  * Be sure to have "group code" and email address on sponsor forms.
  * Charge your digital cameras.  
  * Pack up food donations (jars of peanut butter, rice or beans in boxes/cans (no bags)

Weather We walk rain or shine!  We've had shine 28 of the past 29 years! 
Parking Parking to the right of the entrance. Carpool to save gas!

Show Your Spirit
 * Wear your colors... red shoes/sneakers, shoe laces,decorate a hat - have fun!
 * Wear your  church/school clothing with logos.
 * Bring church or school banners
 * Carry CROP stop signs, posters, banners
 * Decorate Strollers!
Food Collection
 * Drop off food in the food collection area on tarps to be sorted for distribution
 * Bring posters and banners to the registration area for entry into the Banner Poster Contest.
CROP T-Shirts, Caps, and Wristbands (while they last)
 * Table will be set up in the registration area
Registration
 * Hand in the entire sponsor envelope if you have collected all the money.
 * Hand in the top sheet only if you still have money to collect.
 * Put your name  and email on the small foot flyer to enter our drawing to win gift certificates from local businesses. Drawing at 2:00 Check for winners on the poster at the finish line at the end of the walk.

Banner Poster Contest
 * Please arrive a little early if you are submitting a banner or poster.
 * Hand in banner or poster with sponsor form at registration area.
 * After registration, walk past banner poster contest display area. 
 * Posters will be displayed outside on the glass wall, weather permitting.
Clothesline Project   Visit our Clothesline Project - Teen Leaders have decorated t-shirts to share information on our 17 local partners and Church World national and international relief efforts.
A Little Fun   Short Stop the Clown  and special characters along the route by Chubby Penquins 2010 Snow White and Elmo. Look for Sponge Bob 2011.
Safety  Garden State Radio, town police and volunteer safety guards - all work with us to help ensure the safety of all our walkers. 
 * Please stay on the sidewalks
 * Obey crossing guards
 * Strollers and wheelchairs ok, no roller skates, or wheelie shoes, no bicycles
 * Dogs are not encouraged at the request of the towns.
 * Please stay on the sidewalks and pay attention to the crossing guards.
Walk Start
 * Make your way to the start about 1:30. 
 * Ribbon cutting by   
 * Blessing by 
 * Runners start out before the general walk group.
End of Walk 
 * Don't forget your walk certificate
 * Check the poster for winners of gift certificates from our drawing.
 * Water, apples and ice cream generously provided by Delicious Orchards, Sickles Market and Super Foodtown of Red Bank.
Please use garbage cans! Our volunteers don't leave until the area is cleaned up.
Photography We will have photographers along the route. Wear your church or school logo clothing! Wave your hands, your posters, and CROP stop signs. Take your own pictures and share with us via redbankcropwalk@gmail.com
