I was invited to join the CROP event committee to help in community efforts about hunger, and it was such a positive experience of compassion and care for others that I never looked back.
I walk to support our14 local hunger-fighting partners who are responding to food security problems in times of high inflation and even scarcity.
I attended a CROP Hunger Walk meeting with a church member and learned that there was a local and national organization to combat hunger and I joined to be a part of the many hands to make a difference.
When I became aware of how many people were suffering because they couldn't afford food, it was a no-brainer to become part of the CROP committee. For those of you who know me, you know that feeding people is my passion. I had no idea of the food insufficiency in my own backyard (Monmouth County). I cannot believe that it has been 15 years that I have been involved with CROP. My CROP family is the most amazing, loving people. There is nothing more fulfilling than being of service. I believe that is part of being on this planet.
I've learned so much and enjoyed every minute of the CROP Walk group. Didn't pay that much attention to the food desert we have here in Monmouth County and NJ so it's important to me to help and raise funds, so we help so many people.
I am so happy to be able to collaborate with an organization like CWS and with so many great people for the good of humanity!
